TOTALLY OUT OF SCALE!
We want to inspire you to think bigger! Both kids and adults get drawn by giants out of scale. If you like MONSTRUM Monsters you will (hopefully) love this newsletter!
– THE GIANT BEAR
The Russian bear is 7,5 meter tall holding a hollow trunk for the kids to slide down through. On the inside of the bear there are small Russian paintings.
The Giant Russian Bear is part of The Globe playground at DOKK1 in Aarhus, Denmark.
35 METERS OF ADVENTURE
‘The largest snake I have ever seen’ is what the kids say. This enormous snake is 35 meters long and one of MONSTRUM’s giants: The snake makes kids and adults explore the forest like a mouse. We worked with the inside flow of kids and a simple plan that works like a maze.
The Giant Forest Snake is situated in Melgård Forest, Denmark
Owl King and Owl Queen in a royal scale, watching over their Kingdom and the Mushroom forest. In this projects we worked together with the landscape architects and developed a line of playgrounds for all ages. This one is the tallest one for the older kids.
The Owls is part of the playground of Kristineberg Slottspark in Stockholm, Sweden.
9 TIMES THE SIZE OF A REAL BEAVER – AND A LITTLE LARGER THAN RAT
We love scaling up the small animals.
The city of Partille involved the citizens in the naming of the Beaver playground. ‘Justin Beaver’ became his name and today he is the major friend beside all the small kids and adults. If you want to meet the giant rat, you should visit Helsingborg Slottspark in Sweden. Here you also find our playground edition of the local tower ‘Kärnan’.
THE 15 METER BLUEWHALE
This K11 shopping mall has many guests each day. Therefore we designed a huge Bluewhale to make playing easy for both kids and adults. Explore the Bluewhale from inside and see how the light is reflecting in his stummach.
The playground is situated in Hong Kong, China.
MONSTRUM’s NUMBER ONE MONSTER
MONSTRUMs absolute most frightening monster is the 5 meter tall blue and red robot, with a characteristic underhung jaw and orange teeth. Every little detail is transformed into play features for the kids.
