BEST PUBLIC PLAYGROUND 2026

It's always a great honour to be recognised for our work and there's no higher praise than that of the playground visitors themselves! That's why we're extra proud that the adventure playground at Gathering Place, Tulsa, has been named Best Public Playground 2026 by USA Today's readers.

The River Giants playground, designed in collaboration with MVVA, is a prominent feature of the extensive 5-acre adventure playground at Tulsa's award-winning riverfront park.

The impressive wading herons have become iconic for the park and have set the scene for hours of imaginative play to unfold.

“Inspired by the river wildlife, the structure creates an immersive storytelling environment. In this context, play becomes a powerful tool for place-making, capable of generating identity and reinforcing the attractiveness of public space.”

LEARNING MEETS PLAY

Sofia's Play Garden at Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha, has received a merit award in recognition of outstanding professional achievement by ASLA's Central states chapter.

We're proud to have created several of the play areas in the gardens in collaboration with landscape architects The Architectural Offices.

With a focus on accessibility and innovative design, our playground design supports and inspires movement and interaction - whether that be climbing to the top of beautiful birdhouses or playing roleplay games at the village market.

“This makes me want to be a kid again! There are a lot of playgrounds out there, but few as engagingly fun and inviting as this.”
