Diesel Engine

Stockholm, Sweden

From up here you can see all over the playground. The three tubeslides are actually the diesel pipes that leads to the dolmens. Right next to the engine, you find a huge wrench and a lot of nuts. It looks like a giant is in the process of repairing the engine, and has left his tools scattered all over the place.

The playground at Marcusplatsen in Sickla, Stockholm is inspired by the park’s industrial history. The project is a collaboration with Nyréns Arkitektkontor and was build in 2013.
